I would recommend this beautiful rental to Anyone wanting a nice quiet getaway. The home was clean and well equipped with everything we needed and there was plenty of room for everyone.The pool was a big hit for our children. The pond was very well stocked and maintained. Located not far from the home were many attractions to see and fun activities for the whole family. Babyland and Hensel&Gretel being two of our favorites. We had a great trip and would love to go back again at a later date.

We appreciated the prompt response from the management reference the few issues we had.

When the toilet next to the stairs overflowed on Christmas Eve (our first night stay) they sent someone on Christmas Day to check it out.

Also they sent a plumber the day after when the bathroom toilets and bathtubs in the first floor were not draining properly.

Probably due to the heavy rain and full septic system the master bathroom toilet had a moldy smell and it was loose.

The house was mostly an enjoyable place to stay, however it is very outdated, the mattresses were clean but way too soft and there were many pieces of old furniture that made the house look like the owners left or passed on and it is being rented almost as is.

I would also suggest that you bring kitchen cleaning items such as dish rags, towels, sponges and disinfection solution to properly clean the counters and stove.

They did provide one tiny sponge, a tiny bottle of dish soap and dish pods for the dishwasher, however if you plan on using the kitchen as we did for most every meal you will need more cleaning supplies.

Most of the days we stayed there it rained heavily and we were not able to get outside, however the outdoors area with the small lake and swimming pool looked beautiful and inviting.

Again we appreciated the great and timely communication before, during and after our stay. Thank you.

Beautiful home! We enjoyed watching the wildlife in the backyard every morning and evening and the grandkids loved the pool! A king size bed in every bedroom was awesome and everyone said they were super comfortable-Well stocked kitchen- we really didn’t use the stove .
Some suggestions to make this rental excellent would be to get rid of all the carpet everywhere- especially the bathrooms- the smell of mustiness was overwhelming when we first got there- ended up spraying 2 cans of air freshener and lighting scented candles that we had to go buy to make it
tolerable.
Georgia Mountain rentals was awesome to work with! Very personable and helpful! Overall we would recommend this rental- was centrally located for us, was only a few minutes away from the wedding venue that we were attending.

Staying at southwind was so wonderful! We have a large family so the space in this beautiful house was able to accommodate everyone & make them feel comfortable. The house was very clean and tidy. Definitely coming back!

My family,(we range in age from 69 to 20), enjoyed our vacation at Southwind. Fishing in the pond, cooling off in the pool, trips to Cleveland and Helen were a few of the things that kept us busy. This is an older house decorated with antiques. We all kinda felt like we were spending a week at Grandpa and Grandma’s house being spoiled! It brought back so many great memories to all three generations and we made many more too!

We had a wonderful stay with the family. Plenty of room. The grandkids enjoyed the live Christmas tree and the magic wand that lit it up!

Two items taken care of will benefit your next family that visits.
The kitchen stove did not work correctly and was not adequate for cooking a large meal.
The first floor back bedroom bathroom had a strong smell of mold
Especially when the toilet fan was on. My husband was feeling sick the last couple days due to this.

We had a family group stay at the rental (Southwind) and it was perfect for our group! We had plenty of space to gather and visit. Really enjoyed the patio out back, the front porch, and the opportunity to spread out into smaller groups to visit. We were there for a wedding at one of the local vineyards, and the location was perfect.

We were given this property for our stay when road repairs interrupted our original planned cabin in the woods rental , Houston Place.We were not charged the full price for this property in trade off. This property is a large two story home used for wedding or reunion venues. My wife and I only used the bottom MBR suite Den and Kitchen, garage too.A clear shower door would be better & light in the shower. Undercounter lights needed in kitchen. Guest BR ceiling fan was loose, but we didn't use that room anyway.The grounds were complete with mooing cows and deer every day. Actual owners live down the road and mail and packages arrived daily. Also, disconcerting is the live in person above the garage. Handrail needed accessing the porch steps.

Everyone I interacted with were great, kind and helpful. This is a great place to stay with all it's extra amenities (pool, lake, deer in the back yard...). We were there on business but would love to do a girls weekend here sometime. Thank you.

This was a mini reunion as our full family reunion was again delayed due t the Wuhan Virus.The house is older but has 5 nice sized bedrooms, suiting our needs. The beds are all large, but a little soft for our backs. the kitchen is adequate, the stove , two burners and griddle work ok. Fridge isn't large but there's a backup in the garage. Pool and deck are very nice large open space, plenty of comfortable seating and umbrellas to get out of the sun. The living room was not large but had seating for 8. the dining room satbour group comfortably. The biggest disappointment was the grill, or lack of a real one. They have an outdoor cook top, but the grill is a 16" weber knock off. We grill about every night when we do these type trips. It was so bad even a fan could not burn the coals...had to finish our steaks and chicken under the broiler. Very disappointing. A great pool area needs a great grill.
The front porch and fan were great for evening adult beverages and kids play in the yard. I would recommend this property with qualifications.

House is old but very nice. Land is beautiful. It's very roomy. Only downfall is they don't have a good grill just a small like camping grill I would definitely upgrade to a proper one.

House is a must for large groups with the right amount of bathrooms. Everyone was able to spread out. Furnishings need updating, also could have a bigger variety of pots & pans, especially a cookie sheet! ��
Pool was fantastic!! Overall, would stay again and recommend to others.

We really enjoyed our stay. This property was very close to town and very easy to find. The house was comfortable for our large family and we especially enjoyed the large dining table. The beds were very comfortable and we loved having king beds downstairs. Although the house needs some updating cosmetically, it was nice overall. Everything was very clean except for pet hair on a couple of the wool rugs. We would recommend this property and can't wait to visit again.
